Exploring | Vancouver, BC

This trip in a nutshell: an all-around great time with some of the best people I know. We drank a lot of coffee (mostly at Revolver), ate a lot of amazing food (those wings at Phnom Penh!!!!!), wandered around Gastown a lot, hung out in a forest in the pouring rain, soaked in some warm sunset rays on the beach, experienced the most amazing sunrise I have ever seen, and then drove home while having the most epic 12-hour car karaoke session. I can't wait for the next trip.

All photos shot with the Fujifilm X100T.

Exploring | Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto

Adriana and I spent a couple weeks in Japan mostly wandering around looking out for good food, nice light, and cute dogs. None of these were really too hard to find.

Exploring | Emerald Lake

There's some sort of sense of accomplishment I feel when I manage to wake up and get to the place I wanted for sunrise especially in the summer, when it starts at the ungodly hour of 5:30. Everything is so quiet and calm, and you have the luxury of soaking in the beauty of the scene in front of you without other tourists talking loudly and getting in your way. I love mornings like these, even when everyone I'm with is incredibly grumpy due to the lack of sleep, lack of food, one-too-many-drinks the night before, and the fact that the sun didn't actually rise above the mountains until two hours later (all very understandable).

Emerald Lake was a dream to finally see in person, with nobody but my favourite people to experience it with.

Exploring | Taipei Revisted

There's something I really enjoy about not actually having any plans when travelling and just being spontaneous. Yes, sometimes you need to have an itinerary but for the most part I love just wandering aimlessly around, soaking in whatever comes into fruition.

Going to Taipei with my sister was an absolute blast. I have been to Taipei before but I never quite experienced it this way. For one thing, the weather was much more bearable this time so actually walking around all day did not make me feel like melting. The fact that my younger sister is so passionate about food made eating a much more important part of the trip, something that I greatly appreciated. Every interaction we had struggling to overcome the language barrier was another fun memory that we could laugh about at the end of the day.

In short, I really love Taipei and it was a blast being able to explore it with someone I care about so much.
