There's some sort of sense of accomplishment I feel when I manage to wake up and get to the place I wanted for sunrise especially in the summer, when it starts at the ungodly hour of 5:30. Everything is so quiet and calm, and you have the luxury of soaking in the beauty of the scene in front of you without other tourists talking loudly and getting in your way. I love mornings like these, even when everyone I'm with is incredibly grumpy due to the lack of sleep, lack of food, one-too-many-drinks the night before, and the fact that the sun didn't actually rise above the mountains until two hours later (all very understandable).
Emerald Lake was a dream to finally see in person, with nobody but my favourite people to experience it with.
Well, January came and went and I didn't manage to blog once. My bad. It's not to say that I haven't been taking pictures, because I have. Lately I've been really trying to push myself creatively by taking on a personal project, and until now it just wasn't ready to be shown.
My younger sister, Adriana, and I have launched a lifestyle blog: THINGSTOSETO.COM. What started out as a joke idea immediately turned into something that the both of us got really excited about. For Adriana, this blog gives her the opportunity to entertain people with her witty and hilarious voice. For me, it gets me out of my element as a photographer and makes me approach photography with a fresh new perspective.
